Scenario caused by Antiphospholipid Syndrome

Antiphospholipid syndrome, also called Hughes Syndrome, alters the blood coagulation mechanism leading to increased thrombus formation with the health consequences that this entails. It is an immune pathology in which antibodies are created against phospholipids in the membranes of blood cells.

This pathology is not common in the population, albeit most cases are found in women.
