Treatment of Asherman syndrome

Pelvic adhesions caused by the Asherman's syndrome or uterine synechiae can be removed with surgery. Afterwards, in order to prevent adhesions from growing back, the following measures should be taken:

  • Estrogen supplements to help the uterus in the healing process
  • Inserting an intrauterine balloon to prevent the walls of the uterus from adhering to one another
