When the embryo transfer to the woman's uterus is scheduled, the specialists will give a series of recommendations for the procedure to go well. For example, the patient is advised to go on the day of the embryo transfer with a full bladder, since this will facilitate the insertion and travel of the cannula. In addition, the patient should not wear perfume, make-up, earrings, etc.
Once the embryo transfer has been performed, the woman will remain at rest in the clinic for 20-30 minutes. When this period of time has elapsed, she can return home and go about her daily routine, avoiding excessive efforts. In addition, it is recommended to drink plenty of water.
