What are the advantages and disadvantages of choosing a surrogate?

By Andrea Rodrigo.

Choosing the surrogate gives greater transparency to the process and allows you to confirm that the surrogate is offered as such voluntarily and freely. In addition, it makes it possible to explain the origin to the future child.

On the other hand, there are people who prefer not to choose the surrogate themselves in order to avoid possible psychological consequences and a confrontation of feelings. Especially in heterosexual couples, it can be painful for the future mother to know the woman who is going to gestate, because it reminds her of her incapacity.
