Hello! My husband and I live in Canada but we cannot find a suitable Gestational Carrier (we’ve been searching for one for a long time), so we’ve been considering the US or even Ukraine. We’ve a straight couple (we got married 4 years ago). We’ve done some research and we think that we fit the requirements of the Ukrainian law… I’ve Rokitansky syndrome, so I meet the requirement that says we need a medical cause to be eligible… What else do we need? What is the cost? Though we’re interested in the US and Ukraine above all, I’d like to get an overview of all the countries available nowadays for surrogacy abroad, just in case.

Unfortunately, surrogacy is an illegal procedure in most part of the world. I don’t understand why the government interferes in this question. As for me, this is a private life. Why the government doesn`t have an interest to infertility couples. According to the statistic from the net, the number of infertile couples is steadily growing. My husband and I were in this situation. We saw a great number of specialist. In addition, I did 3 IVF which were negative. The surrogacy was the only way for us in order to have a baby. We started to look through clinic somewhere abroad as the surrogacy has a ban in our country. Honestly, we were shocked by the prices. Thanks to Ukraine now I am holding my little son. I believe you will find a good clinic with a great price.

Recently my husband and I wanted to use surrogacy on the territory of Ukraine. We even contacted one of the Ukrainian leading clinics but the manager said that biotex doesn’t work with new clients who want to use surrogacy. Then we decided to make a research among Georgian clinics. We again made a request and the manager said that 3 surrogacy attempts cost around 44,000 euros. It is too much for our family – Biotex provided unlimited attempts for around 30,000 euros. Currently, we don’t have enough money for surrogacy in Georgia. Honestly, we are in despair. We don’t know which clinic can guarantee a successful outcome even if we will pay more money.
If anyone faced with surrogacy in Georgia, please could you share any information. Which clinic did you use? Did you get a desirable outcome at once?

Sorry to hear about your syndrome. The costs of surrogacy really depend from country to country. At some places, it is really expensive. However, in some places, surrogacy is affordable. People who live in the States and can’t afford expensive surrogacy go to other countries in order to have a child through this process.
