Surrogacy is permitted in Georgia since 1997, when the law "On Health" came into force. As one can see in the picture, only heterosexual couples that are married to each other have the right to enter into surrogacy programs. Moreover, there should be a medical cause the prevents the woman from carrying a child until birth, such as not having a uterus.
