The success of an in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment will depend on a number of factors, the most important being the age of the woman. The reason is that as the woman's age increases, the quantity and quality of her eggs decrease.
However, the woman's age is not the only factor that influences the probability of an IVF ending in gestation. It is also important to take into account aspects such as the quality of the semen, the selection of the embryos, the fertility clinic itself where the treatment is performed, the origin of the eggs, etc.
