The karyotype is the set of chromosomes in a cell of the body. Specifically, human beings have 23 pairs of chromosomes, i.e. 46 chromosomes in total.
In order to carry out the study of the chromosomes, it is only necessary to take a blood sample from the male. The study of the karyotype allows us to check whether the chromosome endowment of the individual is adequate or, on the contrary, if there is any alteration that may be affecting male fertility.
