The sperm culture or seminal culture is a bacteriological study of the semen that allows to know if there is any infection and, in that case, to know the pathogenic agent that causes it.
This test is usually performed when the seminogram shows more than 1 million leukocytes per mL of ejaculate. In addition, seminal culture is indicated when the man suffers pain and inflammation in the testicles and also notices a different smell and color of his semen at the time of ejaculation.
