Surrogacy for mothers with recurrent miscarriage

By Babygest Staff
Last Update: 30/01/2019

Surrogacy is a reproductive technique indicated for women who are unable to gestate, either because they do not have a uterus or because they suffer other problems that do not allow them to carry a pregnancy to term.

One of these cases would be recurrent miscarriage when, after several pregnancy losses, the specialists are unable to give a diagnosis to the woman or to apply an adequate treatment that allows her to gestate without problems. These women are forced to consider other alternatives to become mothers, such as adoption or surrogacy, in which another woman is responsible for gestation of the baby by her own will.
