Although it is an optional decision to make, many intended parents and surrogates decide to build a close relationship between them during the pregnancy. Sometimes, this relationship continues after the child's birth and even when he or she becomes an infant. During the pregnancy, it is common for IPs and surrogates to be up-to-date after each prenatal visit.
