Although having twins may seem advantageous, it may not actually be. A twin pregnancy is exposed to a greater number of complications and may pose greater risks to the mother-to-be as well as the babies.
Multiple pregnancies (pregnancies of 2, 3, etc. babies) are considered risk pregnancies for the mother and the foetuses due to all the modifications in the organism and to the little space existing in the uterus. Therefore, people undergoing fertility treatment should be aware of all the risks before making a decision.
