A unicornuate uterus is characterized by having a small cavity and a single horn. Depending on the size, pregnancy may be possible or not.
There exist four subtypes:
- Without rudimentary uterine horn
- With communicating uterine horn containing a functional endometrium
- With non-communicating uterine horn containing a functional endometrium
- With rudimentary horn that is non-functional
