Normal size of the uterus

The uterus or womb is the reproductive organ of females. It is home for the developing fetus throughout the 40 weeks of pregnancy. It has an upside down, pear shape. The womb is held in position within the pelvis.

The normal size of the uterus is 8 cm × 5 cm × 3 cm (length, depth and width) in women who have never given birth. After the first delivery, these measures are slightly increased.
