This method of reproduction is only mentioned in Chapter II of the Penal Code:
Panama has no legal framework for regulating surrogacy, neither to prohibit it nor to allow it, so there is a legal vacuum.
Similarly, the only reference in the law to assisted reproduction is found in Chapter II of the Penal Code where this is stated:
