Intended parents and the surrogate mother are going to live the whole pregnancy together and it is very important that they agree on the development of such an important event.
A balance must be sought so that the baby is in the best possible conditions without the surrogate losing autonomy and decision-making capacity in her daily life. This is why it is so important to reach an agreement beforehand thanks to the surrogacy contract.
There are two models of contract between the parents and the pregnant woman:
- Commercial contract
- the pregnant woman receives a financial compensation.
- Altruistic contract
- the pregnant woman does not receive financial compensation, but the parents of intention will cover the expenses during the pregnancy.
