A woman without a uterus can become a mother from her own eggs thanks to the combination of in vitro fertilization treatment and surrogacy.
To do this, the woman undergoes a follicular puncture to obtain her own eggs which will be fertilized with the sperm of her partner or a donor. The embryos generated will be transferred to the uterus of another woman, the surrogate. Once the pregnancy has ended and the delivery has taken place, the baby will be handed over to the mother.
