The purpose of medical testing of egg donors is to confirm that they are free of sexually transmitted and/or infectious diseases. For this reason, these women undergo a gynecological check-up with ultrasound and Pap smear, blood and serology tests and a genetic study to check that they do not show alterations in their chromosomes.
