Indications of PGD

Although preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) can be performed in any IVF-ICSI cycle to detect those embryos that do not have chromosomal alterations and, therefore, have greater implantation potential, it is true that there are some situations where it is especially recommended. Among them we highlight the following:

  • An altered karyotype of the future parents, such as a Klinefelter's syndrome.
  • Implantation failures in previous IVF cycles.
  • Repeated miscarriages.
  • Advanced maternal age.
